DrinkTalking.com is a subsidery of RoastBeef.co.uk and is owned by Roast Beef Ltd.

DrinkTalkingand its policies have been designed for our users - DrinkTalking is a place to meet your friends, rekindle old friendships, find out what people you have lost touch with are doing and to reminisce.

In order to chat on our message boards (i.e. pubs and bars) you need to provide certain basic data via a simple and free registration. If you wish to chat in the student bars you have to provide additional data - the years you attended the university or school you are registering for and optionally you may leave notes about what you are doing now (or indeed anything else you want your old friends to know about) and/or details of which campus and course you attended. In order to protect you from SPAM (unsolicited e-mail), your message must not include your e-mail address and no posts to message boards must contain any email addresses. You are the only person that can adjust this information, including your e-mail address, by going to "My Profile".

While you do need to provide this basic data, DrinkTalking respects your privacy and will never disclose your details without prior permission.

When you have registered as alumni of a university, your name will be available to any other registered member on the site who has registered their name with that particular college or university. The only details shown against the university, is your name on leaving, the years you were there and an option to view your personal message.

Your email address is not made available on screen to anyone. The only way of making contact with an old friend is to use DrinkTalking to enter a message and we will send an email on your behalf. The recipient will receive your e-mail address with the message, so that they can reply directly to you. Clearly, by choosing to contact and old friend, you are disclosing your e-mail address to them.

Once registered you will be sent an e-mail with confirmation of your registration, including your password. You will also be given a special URL (web link) that you must visit in order to confirm that your email address is valid which will fully activate your membership.

If for any reason you want your details removed, please log in, then click on 'My Profile' and follow the link at the bottom of the page.

DrinkTalking and RoastBeef share the same data, therefore if you register with DrinkTalking you are automatically a member of RoastBeef and vice versa. Similarly if you unsubscribe from one site you are automatically unsubscribed from the other.
